Sandahl

The Agnès Sandahl Gallery is at the heart of the city of potters, which in the 1950s welcomed such illustrious artists as Picasso, Braque and Cocteau.
Today, in this legendary venue, Agnès Sandahl presents internationally renowned contemporary artists and ceramics by prestigious artists such as Picasso, Derval, Jouve, Roger Capron, Portanier, Tobiasse and Cocteau...
In 2011, Agnès created a number of bespoke tableware projects for the Monaco family following a major royal wedding. She has subsequently been entrusted with a number of events, including the christening of twins.

THE KILN
Housed in an old traditional pottery, the gallery boasts the last wood-fired oven, built in 1850 and part of Vallauris' historic heritage.

Agnès has taken over and completely renovated the premises, restoring the immense wood-fired oven to its former glory. She has imagined a new gallery concept, combining expertise and tradition with carefully selected one-off works of art.

A place of art and culture where paintings, fine ceramics, sculptures, designer furniture and tableware all come together.

She decided to relaunch the ceramics workshop at Vallauris and created her collection of tableware for Michelin-starred chefs, private and royal families. Joël Robuchon put his trust in her and entrusted her with several projects. This was the start of a wonderful collaboration with the greatest Michelin-starred chefs such as Mauro Colagreco for the ‘Maybourne Riviera’, Eric Frechon for the famous Hôtel du Cap ‘ Eden Roc’, and many others...
Her passion is expressed through her projects of ceramic bas-reliefs, notably at l'Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, as well as the renovation of the ‘Azur’ terrace suite at the Bristol. For this suite, she designed a ceramic fountain, painted works, as well as unique vases and ceramics.

Her style is characterised by pure, refined lines, which she freely combines according to her inspirations and discoveries with earthenware, porcelain, glass and the characteristic style of Vallauris from the "grande époque". She travels the world in search of new techniques and new earthenware to create bespoke table settings for her customers.« Agnès’ touch » is a skilful blend of art and handmade ceramics.
It's a real stage-setter, a promise of a magnificent meal…
